Peter Mangione
Peter Mangione has been president of the organization since 1981. He is a specialist in government relations and international trade having practiced law with one of the U.S.' largest law firms, Weil, Gotshal and Manges, and was head of government relations for the Associated Merchandising Corporation (AMC), the overseas buying organization for many U.S. department stores.

As a registered lobbyist, Mangione regularly testifies before the U.S. Congress, the Executive Branch and independent agencies including the International Trade Commission. He has appeared on the televised MacNeil-Lehrer Report and is frequently quoted on footwear trade issues by the U.S. press and trade publications.
As president of the nation's largest footwear trade group, he travels widely throughout the world and has extensive knowledge of and contacts in all the leading shoe producing countries including China, Taiwan, Korea, Brazil, Italy and Indonesia, among others.


Mangione is also President of Footwear Open Trading Coalition (FOTC), Treasurer of Footwear Retailers and Shippers Association (FRASA), and President of FDRA Political Action Committee (FDRAPAC).
He is a graduate of New York's Fordham University and has a law degree from the Union University's Albany Law School. He lives with his wife, son and daughter in McLean, Virginia.

Faith Lewis
Faith Lewis prepares audits, statistical reports, graphs and charts, and serves as full-charge bookkeeper. She and her husband have three grown sons and a dog, Toby. Lewis commutes by train from their home in Western Maryland. An avid golfer with a handicap of thirteen, Lewis plays competitively with the Women's District Golf Association and has won the President's Cup in the past two consecutive years.

Stephanie Ward
Stephanie Ward directs the marketing and communication efforts of FDRA. She brings nearly ten years of experience in marketing for nonprofits in the DC area, including the American Association for Clinical Chemistry, the National Wildlife Federation and the Embassy of Australia.

As a graphic designer, Stephanie creates all marketing collateral and manages the FDRA brand for meetings, membership and publications. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and currently resides in Washington, DC.
